XL Catlin Deep Ocean Survey
At least 17 scientific papers are being finalised and submitted throughout 2017 for peer review. On publication, all details will appear here.
Since 2009, XL Catlin has supported major scientific programs investigating key indicators of climate change.
The XL Catlin Deep Ocean Survey is its third major ocean science research programme, following the XL Catlin Seaview Survey (2012-2016) and the Catlin Arctic Survey (2009-2011).
The XL Catlin Deep Ocean Survey is a pilot for a new systematic method that can be deployed by scientists globally to rapidly assess ocean health. Alongside Arctic sea-ice loss and a decline in coral reef health, ocean warming, sea level rise and ocean acidification are all being observed across the globe.
